Lol its my deck so I name the topic.
Ok so finally decided on taking chaos (control) to nationals, but been having some trouble with the monster line up that I want to go with, and that's why I'm posting up this so we can narrow it down (well atleast the main deck)

Light canidates
Thunder king rai oh 2-3
Effect veiler 1-2
Dimensional alchemist 1 (reload removed veilers =D)
Cyber dragon 2-3

Dark canidates
Doom calibur knight ?-? I don't like being forced to do stuff XD is the ONLY reason I wouldn't but too good not to use
Spirit reaper 1-2 monarch food Very Happy
Caius 2-3 I HATE this fucker(inner blackwing player talking), but yet again too good
Gravekeeper spy 3 wall, thins the deck and sets up for decendant combos/monarch food
Gravekeeper decendant 1-2 little beater and gk are popular so he could be a 21beater
Plaugespreader zombie 1 just another monarch food/tuner
Blackwing gale the whirlwind 1 awsome level three/tuner
Jinzo 1 did I evr mention I FUCKING HATE BACKROW!!!!
Gorz 1 well gorz is gorz
Dark armed dragon 1 been a let down in bw but its pappi you gotta love him
-Herp derp alert-
Chaos sorcceror 2-3 like the star of the deck

Spell/trap canidates (non stapple stuffs)
Gold sarcophagus 1-2 thins out the deck and ensures I get a card I want
Starlight road 1? You never know
call of the haunted 1 waste that solemn warning!

And that about summs up the main deck potential line up

Ok. Like you mentioned, where to begin.

From what I can tell, Control is where you want to go about.

Lets start with Monsters.

Darks
3 x Chaos Sorcerer [Obv the main part of the deck]
1 x Sangan [Search = Good]
3 x Caius [Great card that gives you options]
1 x Gale [Just to have 1 tuner as an option and kills many monsters]
1-2 Spirit Reaper [Great synergy with Cyber Dragon]

Light
3 x Thunderking Rai oh [Light Monster and slows down many decks]
2-3 x Dimensional Alchemist [Light and a beat stick. Goes around Bottomless]
2-3 x Cyber Dragons [Light Monsters that helps with Caius and a beatdown monster]

Then Spells (Staples)
2 x MST
1 x Monster Reborn
1 x Dark Hole
1 x Allure of Darkness (Helps go through deck. A+)
1 x Book of Moon (Stops so many things)

Traps (Again Staples)
1 x Mirror Force
1 x Torrential Tribute
2 x Bottomless Traphole
1 x Royal Oppression
1 x Solemn Warning [Yes, you can borrow one]

So far there is 28-31 cards to work with and you want to keep it at 40. So that only gives you about 9-12 cards to work with. No 41-43 nonsense. Whichever build you make will more then likely have these cards. Any objections?

Some things to consider:

Ryko vs Card Trooper
Trap Stun vs Seven Tools
Possible Pot of Duality?
Foolish or DDR or PWWB in main? To help put things in graveyard.

Veiler would be your add on. Did you not understand that I just started with the skeleton of the deck and then you have those extra spots to add some of your tech or own twist.

I can see the reason for veiler, the Fish could be a problem. Not too worried about Shi En since you can remove him with Caius or Chaos Sorcerer.

Your next step is to get a final deck list out by Friday to playtest this weekend. Once you are done with deck, Do Not Make Any Changes!!!!!

It is important for you to just make notes and comments on the side. If you constantly change your deck (Even if it is 1 or 2 cards) you never truly wil find it out how it works. You will need to play with it all weekend long. Then on Mon you can start making adjustments and start again.

As my part, we have 3 decks complete to playtest.

Six Sams
Hero Beats
Gravekeepers

Will work on some more this weekend. Let me know which one you perfer.

i really don't think this is a deck to take to nats. (entitled opinion)

in order for the deck to be consistent..i can think of Duality only. but your reliance on special summoning is more so then most control builds. You running 3xTk is problematic with this though...i mean you can just play around it. It's just that in my build. Skill Drain takes care of my opponent enough for him get the search.

your deck is going to be a toughy eddie.. :/

2-3 Grave Keeper spy. <<<if at three. fore sure at least 1 descendant. to much rapage.
1x Morphin Jar<<<consider?
Light
3 x Thunderking Rai oh [Light Monster and slows down many decks]<<<ESSENTIAL
2-3 x Dimensional Alchemist<<i can understand the light beatstick part and the +1. but bottomless isn't being run as much. if you look at the decks that topped. most of them weren't running it. and if they did. quite a number ran it at 1.i suggest you TAKE OUT.
2-3 x Cyber Dragons [Light Monsters that helps with Caius and a beatdown monster]<<at three could just be annoying.
1-2xEffect Veiler<<<could really save your ass.

Then Spells (Staples)
2 x MST
1 x Monster Reborn
1 x Dark Hole
1 x Allure of Darkness (Helps go through deck. A+)
1 x Book of Moon (Stops so many things)
1xTrunade?<<<
1-2x(Destruction spell cards?)
Traps (Again Staples)
1 x Mirror Force
1 x Torrential Tribute
2 x Bottomless Traphole
1 x Royal Oppression<<<at least run it with trunade.
1 x Solemn Warning [Yes, you can borrow one]<<why not 2?
2xCulmposary evacuation device<<<consider this. it can be much more versatile then bottomless/d.prison. i would think you could really catch your opponent off guard.
starlight road<<<???

i see eddie's deck falling behind the speed other decks can pull of their combos. your back row is what your going to need through out the entire nats. i fear a trunade can "F" you badly. A LaD would use up your resources...just so your opponent can pull out another one. :<

Its essentially supposed to be an anti meta deck, that's the only reason I am even considering takeing it, it can shut down meta and is relatively hard to side against

That's actually one of the decks I am a little scared off, it can go off so fast and that's why I think I'm going to need veiler, and I tottally forgot that sams need that kagemusha to work or the one that brings him out for the deck to work

Thunderking and caius seem to be the only monsters I would want to be at three. Cyber dragon could be hand cloggers and veiler doesn't do much on my turn, spy seems weak against sams, if the back row isn't good enough they will just go off and pretty much instant game 2

Don't forget Dark Armed Dragon and Honest. Also, use 3x D.D. Warrior Lady; they work extremely well with Dimensional Alchemist and offer holes in the opponent's monster zone for Spirit Reaper, Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer, and X-Saber Airbellum to exploit.
